2.4MW 240-Slot Whatsminer Hydro Mining Container Deployment Case Study

Project Description

Deploying our whatsminer liquid cooling container allowed a mining operator in Austin, Texas, to build out 14.4MW of grid capacity. Facing summer spikes up to 45°C (113°F), the site required high-capacity liquid loops to prevent chip throttling. We delivered 6 units of our 2.4MW 40HQ model to house up to 1,440 Whatsminer M63 machines.

Each 40HQ enclosure features a 240-slot layout designed for Whatsminer 2U machines. Flow-optimized internal manifolds deliver balanced fluid velocity across every tier, eliminating heat pockets. Crews set the elevated skids directly on crushed-rock pads and connected them to adjacent dry coolers, cutting total installation time by thirty percent.

The 14.4MW facility maintains 99.9% system reliability and full operational uptime across all six containers. Constant fluid circulation protects the Whatsminer M63 servers during peak grid demand periods, delivering stable commercial hashrates without pump cavitation or unexpected maintenance shutdowns.
