2.4 MW Slot Antminer Hydro Container Deployment Case Study

Project Description

An institutional mining group in Edmonton, Alberta, contracted us to build a 28.8MW facility for their Antminer hydro fleet. We supplied 12 units of our 2.4MW 420-Slot Antminer Hydro Cooling Container 40FT HQ, establishing a 5,040-miner campus. Built with reinforced steel and fireproof insulation, each modular bitcoin mining container handles continuous 2,400kW thermal loads.

Crane crews rigged each unit onto concrete footings beside dedicated dry cooler banks. Because the containers included factory-installed Bitmain cabling, Gigabit fiber, and auto-reclosing breakers for utility grid protection, electrical work was limited to landing transformer feeds. Piping and hydrostatic pressure testing across all 12 units finished in seven weeks.

Running under a sustained 28.8MW draw, the redundant water loops maintain inlet temperatures below 35°C across all 5,040 active ASICs. The oversized stainless manifolds eliminate flow friction, holding the plant’s operating PUE at 1.03 with zero chip throttling during continuous peak production.
