Bitaxe is an open-source Bitcoin ASIC mining platform designed for solo mining, hobby mining and hands-on exploration of Bitcoin mining hardware. Its compact designs combine dedicated SHA-256 ASICs with onboard ESP32 controllers and Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing the miner to operate independently without a separate computer.

Designed around an open hardware approach, Bitaxe gives users greater visibility into the hardware, firmware and mining setup. Different Bitaxe generations use ASICs such as the BM1397, BM1366, BM1368 and BM1370, with models ranging from compact single-chip miners to multi-ASIC configurations.
