            Can a 1250 kVA transformer feed a 1600A switchboard at 480V?

            Yes. A 1250 kVA three-phase transformer delivers approximately 1,504A at 480V, making 1600A-class distribution a practical configuration when properly engineered.

            Should I choose 1250 kVA instead of 1000 kVA for a 1 MW project?
            Yes, if the project demand is close to 1 MW. A 1000 kVA transformer leaves little capacity once cooling and auxiliary loads are added, while 1250 kVA provides 25% more transformer capacity without moving directly to 1500 kVA.
            What if 1 MW is only the miner or IT equipment load?
