        FAQs

Can this rack support 20 overclocked WhatsMiner Hydro miners?

Yes. The rack is designed for high-power and overclocked WhatsMiner M53, M63, and M73 Hydro deployments, with up to 200kW of total miner load.

WhatsMiner Hydro miners in these series can reach approximately 10kW per unit in high-performance operation, making this 200kW rack suitable for a fully populated 20-miner overclocking setup.

Does the 200kW rating mean every miner slot is limited to 10kW?

No. The 200kW rating refers to the total miner load of the complete rack, not a fixed 10kW limit for each individual position.

This allows the rack to accommodate different compatible WhatsMiner models or operating modes, as long as the combined miner load remains within the system's 200kW design capacity.

How does the system maintain enough coolant flow for all 20 miners?

The rack provides a rated circulation flow of 13m³/h, with a minimum coolant circulation requirement of 0.6m³/h per miner.

For 20 miners, the minimum combined requirement is approximately 12m³/h. The rack uses an automatic pressure-regulating pump and PLC constant-flow control to maintain stable circulation across the system.

Will a problem with one miner affect the entire 20-miner rack?

No. Each miner position is individually managed, so one miner can be taken offline for inspection or maintenance without treating the entire rack as a single operating unit.

This design helps reduce unnecessary downtime and makes a 20-miner deployment easier to operate and service.

What happens if coolant temperature, flow, pressure, or network conditions become abnormal?

The rack uses PLC-based 24/7 monitoring to track key operating conditions including power, temperature, coolant flow, pressure, and network status.

Abnormal conditions can be detected centrally, allowing operators to identify and respond to cooling or system issues before they develop into wider rack-level problems.

How much on-site piping work is required during installation?

The rack is supplied as an integrated cooling system with factory-prepared piping, valves, power components, and the required quick-connect interfaces.

The corresponding quick connectors are prepared before shipment, allowing compatible WhatsMiner Hydro miners to connect directly to the rack's coolant supply and return lines and reducing additional field plumbing work.

For a 200kW rack, should I use a dry cooler or a closed cooling tower?

For most single-rack 200kW deployments, a matched 200kW dry cooler is a practical choice when simple installation, low water consumption, and lower routine water-system maintenance are priorities. The rack can also be configured with a closed cooling tower.

For hotter climates or larger multi-rack sites where evaporative heat rejection provides an operational advantage, a closed cooling tower can be considered as part of the centralized cooling design. Dry coolers are generally preferred when water conservation and reduced maintenance are the main priorities.

Can I expand from one 200kW rack to a 1MW mining deployment?

Yes. The rack format is suitable for modular mining-farm expansion.

Five 200kW racks represent approximately 1MW of installed miner capacity. If future expansion is planned from the beginning, the site can reserve sufficient electrical capacity, main piping, heat-rejection capacity, installation space, and centralized monitoring interfaces so additional racks can be added without rebuilding the entire infrastructure.
