    Stepping down 4.16kV, 13.8kV, or 34.5kV lines to dedicated 480Y/277V or 415V circuits, it maximizes energy savings. Superior transformation efficiency reduces heat emissions and cooling overhead, delivering a significantly lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

    Housed in a NEMA 3R weather-sealed enclosure with a 65°C temperature rise rating, it features outward-facing base holes for rapid power-tool installation. Fully UL/cUL certified, it ensures long-term operational lifespan with seamless utility grid interconnection.

            Why is a 3750 kVA transformer often paired with 5000A switchgear?

            At 480V, a 3750 kVA three-phase transformer delivers approximately 4,511A at full load. A 5000A switchgear lineup therefore provides a practical distribution class for the transformer while allowing the final protection and loading to be engineered correctly.

            Should I use 480V or 600V secondary power at 3750 kVA?

            600V can significantly reduce secondary current. A 3750 kVA transformer produces about 4,511A at 480V, but only about 3,608A at 600V. This can reduce the burden on busways, conductors, and low-voltage distribution when the connected equipment supports 600V.

            Is 415V still practical for a 3750 kVA mining project?
            It can be used, but a full 3750 kVA output at 415V is approximately 5,217A. For large hydro mining deployments, Apexto recommends reviewing the complete LV distribution architecture rather than selecting 415V only because the miners operate at 415/240V.
            Can a 3750 kVA transformer support a 3 MW mining or data center load?
            Yes, if 3 MW represents the total site demand. At 0.95 power factor, 3 MW requires about 3,158 kVA. If 3 MW represents only miners or IT equipment, cooling, pumps, networking, and auxiliary loads must be added before confirming 3750 kVA.
            Why should the main switchgear be installed close to a 3750 kVA transformer?

            Because secondary current can exceed 4,500A at 480V. Keeping the transformer and main switchgear close helps reduce long high-current cable runs, voltage drop, installation complexity, and conductor cost.

            When should I choose 3750 kVA instead of 3000 kVA?

            Choose 3750 kVA when a 3000 kVA transformer leaves insufficient margin for cooling loads, additional equipment, or planned expansion. It is especially useful for projects approaching the 3 MW power-block range without moving immediately to a much larger substation transformer.

            Does a 3750 kVA transformer require special delivery and unloading planning?

            Yes. Large pad-mounted transformers require the final shipping weight, dimensions, lifting points, crane capacity, access route, and concrete pad to be confirmed before delivery. Apexto can provide the approved dimensional drawing and shipping information for site planning.

            What information does Apexto need before quoting?

            Primary voltage, secondary voltage, total load, application, loop/radial feed, termination type, impedance/BIL requirements, and any existing utility or EPC specification.
