Hooking up our antminer water cooler gave a homeowner in Oslo, Norway, an easy way to heat his house with Bitcoin miners. Keeping a domestic workshop and ground floor warm through cold Norwegian winters normally means steep power bills. The owner chose the 50kW heating version, setting up a 9-slot hashing station on his property.

The cabinet ties into the home’s water lines through an internal plate heat exchanger. Two flexible braided hoses link the outdoor fan unit to the indoor cabinet, holding 9 Antminer hydro machines. Instead of exhausting heat outdoors, the closed loop routes hot water straight into the home’s ground-floor radiators.

The 50kW hydronic loop keeps the living quarters evenly warm without the parched air caused by electric space blowers. When spring arrives, a simple manual valve diverts fluid back to the outdoor dry cooler, keeping all 9 Antminers hashing year-round without disturbing the house’s domestic radiator circuit.
